Three months and a gallon of Vodka later.
Hello! So it’s fair to say that it feels like a lifetime since I was on here bitching about something or another. To try and describe every experience and event that’s happened over the last three months would be boring and take forever. But, in short, University managed to both exceed and fail my expectations. At first i was in a Unilet house sharing with three guys (bathroom included) and it was pretty grim. It was also far away from everyone I knew. By far one of the loneliest experiences I’ve ever had. However, once I’d written an add advertising the room to anyone who would be willing to take it (which seemed completely impossible) I felt slightly better that at least I was trying to get out of a shit hole of a situation. Thank God, someone actually wanted to take the room, and so, I was allowed into Halls. I basically swapped rooms with someone in Halls and ever since then, Uni has been nothing short of fantastic. Not gonna lie, it’s also been one of the most surreal times, especially at the begginning when I found myself going out and drinking with complete and utter strangers. Thankfully, the fact that we were all complete strangers provided us all with enough in common to have an amazing few nights during Freshers.
So, now, after having survived the first term, I’m now at home eating tons of mince pies and avoiding the horrific amount of work I have to do by the 9th January. As much as I love Bournemouth, there’s something so nice about being at home. Just being able to be looked after a bit and by this I mean eating proper food aha. I’ve been living off Alpen, noodles and snack a jacks in recent months. This break also allows my liver to have the break it deserves. It’s been abused quite badly.
Anywho. Christmas is lovely so far and I’m exactly where I want and need to be at the moment. Plus, The Nightmare Before Christmas is on. Very happy.
